Je ontleent je identiteit aan de plek waar je vandaan komt.
Ook aan de taal?

De mond, hij beweegt, maar wat als hij niets te vertellen heeft.
Wat als hij niet beweegt en veel zegt.

Het vergelijken met anderen, maakt dat, dat je bent wie je bent?
De buitenkant van een ander doet iets met jouw binnenkant.
Wat die buitenkant jou zegt, klopt niet altijd met wat die ander is.

Vrijheid. Van jongs af aan voelen we de behoefte eraan,
en ervaren we negatieve emoties als we in onze
bewegingsruimte worden beperkt.

Everything is makeable, but do images say anything about ourselves?
You derive your identity from the place you come from.
But is it also formed by the language?

The mouth. It moves. But what if it has got nothing to say?
What if it does not move but says a lot.

Comparing yourself with others is that what makes you who you are?
Another’s outside does something to your inside.
What that outside tells you does not always agree with what
the other one meant to say.

Freedom. From our early childhood we have felt the need for it
and experience negative emotions if we are restricted in our
freedom of movement.

Latex is een bijzonder materiaal, je kunt er zodanig structuur
aan geven dat het verschil maakt en dat kunt weergeven.
Het doet denken aan huid, de kleur, de soepelheid ervan
en is uiteindelijk net zo vergankelijk als die van de mens.

Latex is a special material. You can structure it in such a way
that it makes a difference, which you can convey.
It reminds you of the human skin; its colour, its suppleness, and is in the end as transitory.
